Joe's 5 point dental check up

Use my five point dental check up to assess your pet’s teeth:Fleur teeth

  1. Does your pet have bad breath?
  2. Are your pet’s gums red where the teeth meet the gums?
  3. Can you see any grey or brown plaque on your pet’s teeth?
  4. Is your pet off his food, eating on one side of his mouth or yelping in pain when eating?
  5. Can you see any obvious loose or rotten teeth?

If you answered ‘no’ to all of the above, your pet is unlikely to have any significant dental disease.

If you had one or two ‘yes’ answers, then you need to see your vet for a thorough check up the next time you are at the surgery.

If you answered ‘yes’ three or more times, then your pet is likely to have significant dental disease and needs to see your vet as soon as possible.
